Dwarves gain the following traits:
Dwarves spend their lives underground or in close contact with mother earth, and have developed an affinity towards chthonic energies. While you are underground, you have advantage on Wisdom checks to listen and spot, and you roughly know your depth beneath the surface. In addition, you know the approximate age and origin of any worked stone you inspect.
Dwarves eyes are specially adapted to a life spent underground. You treat darkness within 60 feet of you as dim light. When you do so, your vision is in black and white.
Choose one (1) of the following feats:
Dwarves are a naturally hearty race, and by keeping themselves in top shape they can have remarkable levels of endurance. You gain 1 additional hit point per level. This effect stacks with other feats.
With intense focus, some dwarves have been known to be able to harden their skin for short periods of time, allowing them to withstand injuries as if they were made of stone. When you Dodge, you gain damage resistance equal to your Con modifier until your next turn.
Dwarves value a well-made piece of armor, and have been known to wear their armor at all times of the day. You gain light or medium armor proficiency if you do not have it, and gain +1 AC while wearing medium or heavy armor. Furthermore, wearing armor never reduces your speed.
